The pattern is known as Cavalier and was made in the early to mid 1970's by J.G. Durand (Luminarc) of Verrerie Cristallerie d'arques in France. Each base has a molded "France" in tiny capital letters on the bottom. Imagine pineapple sorbet in this lovely ruby stemware! It certainly would be a dynamic touch to a table set with reds and whites. The simplicity of ruby red glass atop a crystal pedestal gives the stemware the flair of designer glass. Each sherbet glass stands 3 1/4" tall, 3 1/2" across and holds 3/4 cup - perfect for sorbet, fruit, or a sweet dessert. These would go nicely with the wine goblets in the same pattern that I have listed. All are in perfect condition. No chips - cracks - stains.
