This 1970’s Pyrex Homestead Oval Casserole is a rare find as most of these casseroles in circulation are round and not oval shaped! The lid to this is the original co-ordinating speckled tan lid to match the bottom dish. Most of the lids to these pieces are either clear glass or clear with a design.
This casserole #043 is the smaller size of the two that were produced and holds 1 1/2 quarts. It has a 10 inch by 6 3/4 inch rim diameter (including handles) and stands 3 inches tall.
The pattern features blue elegant swirling vines along with flowers on an interesting speckled lighter brown to tan background. The pattern is on both sides of the casserole. It has very good colour and great paint decoration with no loss or damage.
It is marked on the bottom with the Pyrex logo and the number as noted above. This casserole is in very good condition without chips, cracks or stains. Very clean inside and out with no scratches from use.
This would be a great piece to add to your kitchen collection and would go beautifully with the Homestead Cinderella bowls and larger casserole I have listed!
