Here are a few examples of picks that we made testing some Rowlux material. (The 3D stuff that has tiny little mirror shaped surfaces on it) This is the same thing they make some of the images that change when you rotate it. We did find out in this exercise that if you put any kind of thin colored translucent material in the middle of two polycarbonate picks it give a really nice look to it and the color won't fade obviously since it is in the middle. The pick on the left plays better because the Rowlux is in the middle. The middle one we put two rowlux sheets on the outside of one polycarbonate sheet and although if you are careful with the adhesives you can see some of the 3D effect still in it (you can't see it in the photo due to flash effects). One problem with this stuff is that the micro machined mirror surface on this material makes it sort of sluggish when playing the guitar (sort of a faint swooshing sound) but the 3D effect looks VERY NEAT! The material on the right is just a cut out piece of .04mm Rowlux. The camera flash settup I use makes the 3D image invisible in the photo. If we get enough requests then I will carry the Rowlux stuff. www.pickpunch.com
